Psychiatry at Centric Mental Health Ranelagh
Centric Mental Health is now offering psychiatry services to children/adolescents with an ADHD diagnosis.

Important Notice:
This service is intended for children and families seeking treatment support, not for comprehensive diagnostic assessments. A formal diagnosis or report is not required to access care.
What is Psychiatry?
Psychiatry is the branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental, emotional and behavioural disorders.
Who We Treat
At Centric Mental Health, our Child & Adolescent Psychiatry service supports young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, with a focus on treatment consultation, including medication options and symptom management.
We accept referrals for children and adolescents where there are concerns about:
- ADHD — medication consultation or treatment review (not for diagnostic assessment)
- Anxiety Disorders — including generalised anxiety, panic, or social anxiety
- Obsessive‑Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Depression — mild to moderate in severity
What to Expect
The First appointment will be with our psychiatrist lasting 50mins. This assessment will include both a physical and mental assessment during which, if the criteria are met, medication can be prescribed. The psychiatrist will then schedule any follow-up sessions when deemed necessary
How much does the Psychiatry Service Cost?
Initial appointment (1 hour) €300
Follow Up appointments (30 mins) €200
Conditions We Do Not Accept
We are unable to accept referrals where more intensive, specialist care from secondary or tertiary mental health services is required. This includes:
- Severe Depression
- Psychosis or Schizophrenia
- Eating Disorders
- Significant risk to self or others
